Evil-Bank-Lady

Evil LadyWe have to go to the bank later today, to get our charges straightened out.

This kind of scares me, because the evil-bank-lady may be the only one to talk to.
We won’t be able to get it all worked out with a lowly teller, because the bank screwed up and a teller won’t have the authority to unscrew it, so we have to talk to someone with a desk.

She used to be a teller but they promoted her, which is a surprise to me because she’s evil.

Okay, not really evil – I don’t even know her – but I’ve never had a pleasant experience with her because she’s standoffish and rude.

One time we were having dinner in the Coco’s right next to the bank, and she walked in with some people. I said hi to her because I’m friendly that way and she just kind of scowled, as if to say, “Why are you talking to me when I’m not at my desk in the bank?”

So today we have to walk in and see someone at a desk, and I’m concerned that she’ll be the only one at a desk and will say, “How can I help you?”

I don’t want her to help us. I know she’ll hem and haw and somehow try to blame us for the extra charges and she’ll argue and put up a fight instead of just being cool and removing them.

But maybe – just MAYBE – we’ll walk in and someone else will be at a desk. Or she’ll be at a desk but so will several others, so we can just walk right by her and go to another one and if she calls out, “Can I help you?” I’ll just pretend to be hard-of-hearing and go to the other lady, although she won’t call that out because she’s not very helpful.

OR.. I could just go up to the gay teller – don’t ask me how I know because he just IS, okay? I could go up to him and say, “We need a desk person but I don’t really like HER,” then I’ll subtly point at her as I continue to say, “so we were wondering if there was a nicer person to handle our problem?”

He’d be all cool and hook us up with an alternate, I’m sure.

Okay, that’s what we’ll do.

Thanks.

She sounds like a bully. Don’t let her win.

I once switched Optometrists because the receptionist treated people horribly. She made you feel like an idiot if you spoke to her or needed her assistance with anything. I loved the Optometrist, but the treatment I received from the receptionist was too much for me.

It’s hard to deal with people who crave power and hate their jobs. The bank probably put her on the desk because people with issues give in easily when they have to deal with her.

I hope it all works out for you.

Well, by “us” I meant my wife’s going in with me and bullies don’t stand a chance with her, so no worries. But I just don’t want to see the sparks fly in the first place, you know? Going to avoid it if at all possible.
