Twitter, Lorna. It's called Twitter. And I don't know why you won't listen to me, because you'd have a blast on it, and you'd be fun.

I started at thursday's post and worked my way down so I am completely exhausted and more than a little eager to get off your site and explore the Tweeter, Firefox, Gmail, google Reader world. Actually, I use all of those but Tweeter. i can't use anything with a name like Tweeter.

Katherine - I worked at a hotel up until recently, and they hosted a tech convention just before I got laid off. I was in the hotel bar and there was a somewhat inebriated gentleman from Microsoft boasting about how they still have one MSN customer left. It's nice to meet you.

I've used MSN Explorer/MSN Premium since... well, forever. When we got our first computer we used it (no idea why) and it's stuck for 9-10 years. Imagine all the money they've made off of us in monthly fees! In any case, switching to another browser seems wrong after all this time, and I still really like it.

However, Firefox IS my backup browser. I use it for school (the program/website functions best on it) and ocassional other things. If I were to switch to another browser, Firefox would most likely be it.

Yes honey (first comment.. not Pedro), I remember all of that. Chances are you were drinking house Merlot.

Pedro? Is that you?

I knew someone geeky would comment this week. Thanks for the input. I'm going to go program my VCR now.

I use SwiftWeasel, which is essentially a faster version of Firefox with few addons. Firefox's code is both free software and open source, it was the result of Netscape releasing its source code to both the free software and open source communities. This means that programmers and hackers contribute around the world to make it better, and as a result, the code is solid. It is no mystery it is very good.

Swiftweasel is only available for GNU/Linux and other Unix-like operative systems. However, if you have a good machine with good memory and capacity, and if you are one of those like me who have an account in MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, YouTube, yadda yadda yadda ..., I recommend Flock which is both free software and open source. It is a great derivative of Firefox.

I can attest to your expression being clueless as we listened & drank beer, tho' I may have been drinking wine, but I'll have you know my expression was rapt. I do recall you asking bizarre questions like, "What's wrong w/Windoze?" I also seem to recall my response being along the lines of "Oh. My. God!" Always a Microsux hater, I was just wistfully awaiting the day I could finally switch to Mac back then. Have I thanked you lately for the insane amount of overtime you put in a year ago to get me my wee refurbished & ever so fanfuckingtastic Macelangelo?! THANX!

Btw, Firefox usage is even written in the stars.

(|_|*cheers*|_|)
"Here's to the crazy ones; the misfits, the rebels, the trouble makers, the round pegs in the square holes, the ones who see things differently.

They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them, because they change things. They push the human race forward.

While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." ~ Apple Computers, Inc. ©
