I was going to risk a comment to tell you how pleased I was that you’re getting patio space—I love my newly-acquired patio—but I got sidetracked by the talk about burdens. Or lack thereof. I thought I was burdenless, but I was just misguided. I’d help you move if I was down there near that 50ish motel. Hell, I’d bring my own beer. Nay, I’d bring beer for all. which is easy to say from Ottawa.

We have a mermaid on our patio.

Well, we’re all hip and liberal and stuff, so I wouldn’t have a problem giving you a beer or a nice glass of wine, but I’m afraid that legally it would be troublesome if we were all sitting out in front.

I’m thinking it might be too far away for me to pop over for a visit.. sadly enough. It also occurs to me that I don’t drink beer, which could also be a problem.

In any event, I hope you enjoy your lovely new patio space (and beautiful view). *points vaguely westward*
