Oh, and I was refreshing my memory with some YouTube clips before it aired–I can’t believe the alien masks looked real and scared me when I was in elementary school, or that any of us bought how “lifelike” latex masks would suddenly become. And remember that time Julie was running from the pet store iguana clearly on a screen in the background? Oh, EIGHTIES….

Yeah, this one has better effects. Easily.

You know what spoiled it for me? Seeing the “guest star” credit next to Tudyk’s name then seeing what an integral part of her life and investigation his character was. If he wasn’t going to be a regular, I knew something was coming. And yet, I still managed to be surprised. So the “spoiler” here is somewhat minor, all things considered.

I liked it. Loved the dig at Independence Day ripping off the original V, and any show with veterans of Firefly, Lost, and Smallville is already off to a good start with me. I thought they crammed a LOT into that first hour; could have been a 2 hour feature. But now that the set-up for the series is established, hopefully it will go at a more natural pace.

Actually… I know of at least two readers who are rolling there eyes saying there he goes about some television program again.

Dave, knowing how I loved Firefly, taped "V" for me last night but I haven't seen it yet. You are however, the second person to tell me Wash died again.
