So it started when this cute-ish little female person complimented me a couple of weeks ago on my “how to use Twitter” posts. She even thanked me for writing them and said they helped her learn some Twitter stuff. Then she followed me. Cool. So I followed her back after thanking her for thanking me.
I’d have a screen cap of that exchange but two weeks is a long time in Twitterville – stuff piles up. I couldn’t find it.
Then, yesterday..

That’s her.
I went and looked.
I liked it.
I told her I liked it.

I figured she could handle being called a nut. The site is funny.
There’s a tab called “red hot porn” and if you click on it,
you get scolded. So I’m told. Well anyway, I thought
some silliness was called for. But maybe not.

Yeah! So now I get to turn around the compliment from two weeks ago!

I was speaking of two contacts she seems
to talk a lot with in her Twitter stream.
The avatar pics are the same style, they write in the same style, and none of
them seemed to have a large amount of followers or links to social
networking like Facebook or MySpace. Unusual for young people.
But what do I care? People role play all the time on the net.
I have a Twitter friend who I thought was a vampire for
the longest time until finding out that he is actually
a suburban lesbian housewife with kids.
But I thought I’d have some fun with it..

Hmm, that seemed to go south a bit. Oh well.
I didn’t say anything until a short time later,
after the announcement that dinner was ready..

WHOA! Wait,, what? Where did THAT come from?
Just when we were having so much fun!
Well, off to the blog.. need to leave a comment. Hey, her first one!

Since I’m blocked, would anyone care to drop in on the
little Twitter Twat and Twell her she’s a featured guest
at The RhodesTer Chronicles today?
I’m sure she’ll be thrilled !!!

First of all, I temporarily lost my ability to see because THAT IS SO FREAKING FUNNY!
Jenny Ryan´s brilliant blustering.. And Speaking Of Not Wanting To Be Held Responsible For Anything, Ever…
Jenny, you’re..
Second of all, I also apparently lost the ability to control my motor functions while operating a keyboard, but I LOVE it when you pop up in my Twitter stream. Your humor always makes me feel better. Poop on her!

..awesome and shit.
I have threaded comment replies now. How groovy is that?
Hey how come you never tweet me?
Scott´s brilliant blustering.. Home Schooling
I almost never tweet nobody no more.
Rhodester, I just want to say, I know your pain. I got blocked on Twitter by someone I liked. Now, everyday I go to her profile, stare and ask why? Like visiting a grave. I even sent an @ message, no reply. Was my avatar too suggestive? Not witty enough? I have failed. I am misunderstood and it’s my fault. I have been blocked. And why, why should this one person snatch the joy I get from my other loyal followers and those who deign to allow me to follow them? Because it hurts to be blocked. It just does.
Hey, you know.. I don’t really care about this one, she just made for a somewhat comedic post. I was kind of taken by surprise because I *thought* that she “got it.” I have another young follower, @alwayskatharine at Twitter, who has a rockin’ sense of humor and digs my silliness. That’s rare for her age group ( K is 16) so I thought I’d found another one. Guess not.
Oh, I’d be remiss not to mention Shirley, aka @Love_Scenario, who is also 16 and follows me. Sorry if I’m forgetting any other young-uns but I have over 700 followers. But those two are the only ones I regularly gab with and.. *THEY GET ME*
Yeah, it’d suck to have a friend unfollow you. I haven’t had it on Twitter but I’ve had it happen in real-life and on other social networks. Sure it hurts, but you have to find a place where you can say, “Oh well, it’s their loss” and move on.
Thanks for commenting – drop in more often
