..you can’t even get a friggin’ traffic ticket in peace.
So, Jessica Alba gets pulled over in Santa Monica and the Paparazzi go nuts, swarming around the vehicle while pushing and fighting with each other. One idiot even steps up to her SUV and takes a self-portrait with her behind him and the cop has to ask him to step-off.
With this many cameras around plus the fact that they’re all connected to media outlets, I’d bet the cop was just a tad nervous.. they have the right to be there as long as they’re not obstructing his process, so to say anything to them could be construed as abusing his authority. He knew that if anything got in the least out of hand, it’d be all over the Internet in minutes.
Meanwhile, Jessica just laughs and jokes with the cop. Amazing aplomb under scrutiny, but I guess she’s used to it.

Well, in LA you do what a cop tells you to. The guy may be an ass (I can’t imagine doing what he did – I like Jessica Alba, I wouldn’t embarrass her like that) but he knew that if he argued with the cop he’d get hooked up on the spot and charged with impeding. It may just be a traffic ticket but if you get in their way it’s a misdemeanor, which all of the paparazzi knew, thus they kept their distance. One word on that radio mic pinned to his shirt and he’d have five cruisers there in about 30 seconds.
