Salutations from the Barrister of the helicopter society and Institute of Electrical Engineering

by RhodesTer on March 21, 2009

You know how we all receive those spam notices where someone has died, is incarcerated or has been overthrown and exiled, and has left us millions of dollars or half of Europe or a castle in the Bahamas? The emails are always from someone with a strange name who’s been trying to contact us and this is our final notice that we should send him or her our information immediately or it all goes to the government.

gavel

Yeah, you know what I’m talking about.

I received two in a row the other day – I know this because I always check my spam folder – and I was amazed at the similarities. They were from two different countries, and a man had sent me the first one which was about a woman who’d passed away, and a woman sent me the second one and it was about a man, yet the wording and some of the circumstances were the same.

I’d already emptied my spam folder when I thought of this idea, so I had to wait for another one to come in to start my collection. I didn’t have to wait long – I got one today.

Starting with this one I’m going to save them all into a folder, and after I have so many I’m going to put them in a post. Not as they are, because you all get them too, so that would just be redundant and boring. No, once I have enough I’m going to categorize all the parts of them and present them to you that way.

I only have the one so far, but I’ll show you what I mean here..

Person trying to get in contact - Barrister Marcus Andreen.

Title and/or positionBarrister.

Salutation“Hope you receive this message!!!”

On behalf of“The Trustees and Executor of the estate of Late Engr. Jochen Krugger.”

Is this the first attempt at contact? No, “my earlier letter were returned undelivered.”

Dead or deposed personEngr. Jochen Krugger.

What happened to him/herdeceased by unknown causes.

How do I know this person?“Being a widely traveled man, he must have been in contact with you in the past or simply you were nominated to him by one of his numerous friends abroad who wished you good.”

What was special about him/her“Engr. Jochen Krugger until his death was a member of the Helicopter Society and the Institute of Electronic & Electrical Engineers.”

Reason I’m being contacted“He left the sum of Thirty Million, One Hundred Thousand Dollars (USD$30, 100.000.00) to you in the Codicil and last testament to his WILL.”

What I’m supposed to do“Please if I reach you as I am hopeful, endeavor to get back to me as soon as possible to enable me conclude my job. You are advice to contact me with my personal email.”

Now that I’ve received this, the contacting person will“await your prompt response.”

Signature – Yours in Service,
BARRISTER MARCUS ANDREEN ESQ.
PRINCIPAL PARTNERS: Barrister Aidan Walsh.Esq Markus
Wolfgang, Mr. John Marvey Esq., Mr. Jerry Smith Esq.

Okay, so once I have about ten of these, which shouldn’t take very long because I’m quite beloved by world travelers who are going to die soon and deposed dignitaries who wish to come to the United States and need my help, I’ll do this again only I’ll have a whole bunch of things to categorize so that we can compare notes.

If you think this will make for an interesting post, please comment below at your earliest possible convenience, and be sure to provide your information including name, email address, physical address with phone number, bank account number and routing number, plus any information on legal documentation you may have, such as drivers license, passports, etc.

Thank you.

Don’t you just love all that money you could be entitled to? Maybe you should try to collect… not really but it could have been nice.

Sorry I don’t have any personal information of my own to give you. That would go against my hiding from the world routine.

Actually, at the post where I’ll have ten or so, I’ll be adding up all I missed out on by not acting on them. I’m sure it’ll come to an amount close to the US Federal deficit. Or is that possible?

Anything is possible. But you know the taxes they would take out might leave you with less than you had to begin with.

Well Bubba, when they contact you feel free to send them your ssn, mailing address, drivers license, etc and see what happens. Five years from now the IRS will be after you for about $1,400,00.00 in unpaid taxes and you won’t be able to leave the country because you’ll be on the terrorist watch list.

Good times!

I am grandmother of five, raising them all and sure could use 30m – but your site is the only place I could verify the scam

Daniel – You and everyone else, Daniel. Use Gmail if you’re really tired of it – they have great spam control. See – http://rhodester.net/why-i-use-gmail

Diane – Are you serious? I don’t mean about the 5 grandkids or needing 30 million, that’s completely believable (God bless you, by the way!) – I mean about my site being the only place you can verify this? It’s basically just a goofball humor site, there’s plenty of spam info out there starting with http://scambusters.org/

Hi, it seems that know they got me pinpointed as a victim.

But geuss what, I tried to make contact on the info site and it turn up to be nothing got it rerouted back. But that didn’t stop me for verifacating my thought.

So, I crossed checked all the giving names at google and came out nothing.
Finally I came up with the Idea of contacting the ones that should be noticed and that is Info@barristerchambers.com.uk

I am awaiting for their explanation.

By the way there is an other sit, who has more info if you go along with their story. It http://custcomplaint.blogspot.com/2009/04/scam-mail-pen-pal-barrister-marcus.html

Feel free to investigate.

Who knew helicopters were so dangerous??

I am also getting putative requests from American marine seargeants wishing to smuggle gold hoards out of Afghanistan (as if there was any money there to begin with) and the occasional plea from rich but terminally ill English widows wishing to endow my charity with millions of euros.

The best one this week was from the barrister representing a millionaire who died of a heart attack after hearing that his entire family had died in the Sumatra tsunami.

I am waiting to hear from one who refers to himself as a “barrista”. That would be choice!

Are you going to order a latte when you hear from that one?
