Hey, it’s my mum-in-law, Phyllis! Best damn mum-in-law EVER, folks. Thanks Phyllis, for being so.. awesome. We didn’t go out to play, though. Wish we could have but that’s the way it is.

KRISPY – YEP. I’m thinking, “Man, I was so stupid and immature in my forties!” It never ends. I think the end result is we’re all in heaven wishing we’d done it differently, no matter how long we lived.

I heard a comedian once (can’t remember who) say something like the following: When I was 18 I looked back at the stuff I did when I was 16 and thought what a kid I had been. Then, at 30, I thought about my priorities from when I was 18 and marveled at my immaturity. Just before I turned 40 couldn’t believe that I’d actually been childish enough to do the things I did during my thirties. Does this go on for your whole life? Is there, somewhere, a 96 year old saying “Ya know, when I was 81 I thought I knew everything…”

Happy Birthday, Dave! I hope you guys are out on the town as I write this or at the very least having a great day! I looked up the weather in Palm Springs & it looks like it’s COOL, so at least go out & play for awhile & ENJOY!! I want to congratulate you on keeping that kid in you alive! He’ll be a great help to you in your writing career & makes going out to play (or staying in a LOT more fun! He’ll keep you young in thought & heart for the next 50 and in spirit for the time that comes after that! While I'm gonna do my damnedest w/the doteage today, I may have to distract him w/other surprising feats -- ahem, like more cleaning -- since I'm not handy in the kitchen. At least not when it comes to making the messes, that's his expertise; mine is cleaning them up.
