..old Mary Magee retired as the head of housekeeping at the hotel. She’s ancienty-four years old, and has been employed there since 1982. This morning I was asking her second-in-command, Doris, who is also ancienty something years old and has been there for many years, how they’re getting along without Mary. “I’ll have you know,” said Doris, “that Mary was in an accident once and it took her five weeks to recover.. we handled things just fine during that time!”
